Isabel Díaz-Ayuso has easily won the elections in the Community of Madrid, almost reaching an absolute majority (*) with 65 seats, which makes it possible for her to govern alone. The victory of the PP candidate has caused an earthquake on the map of the right in Madrid. Ciudadanos is left out of the Assembly by not achieving the 5% of the vote necessary to have representation. For its part, Vox has 13 parliamentarians , only one more than in the previous elections, leaving it in a marginal position as a key to governance and its hypothetical entry into a PP Executive that today is further away from needing them. The PP of Madrid obtains more than double the number of seats than in the previous elections , where it was the second political force with 30 deputies.
Thus, the Ayuso effect has achieved its objective in a big way, winning by a landslide and successfully leading the right-wing electorate. For its part, the collapse of the PSOE has ended the left's hope of governing in Madrid after these elections. The candidate Ángel Gabilondo loses 13 seats , placing Belgium Mobile Number List himself with 24 parliamentarians compared to the 37 he achieved in 2019 and very far from the PP. The plummet of the PSOE, with its worst result in elections in this community, takes away the luster of the timid advances of the other two forces on the left . Más Madrid goes from 20 to 24 seats, the same as the PSOE, but achieving the 'sorpasso' in number of votes by obtaining nearly 3,500 more ballots.
Unidas Podemos is left with 10 , compared to 7 in , and without the candidate Pablo Iglesias having achieved the desired effect on the left-wing electorate. The left , with 58 seats (the sum of the PSOE, Más Madrid and UP) is 11 away from the absolute majority. (*) In these elections, 136 deputies were elected, leaving the absolute majority at 69 Participation in these elections has been the highest in recent decades. Election results in Madrid Because we still have time for Madrid to not be the capital of Trumpism and to follow in Biden's wake. Every vote counts. They have been nervous about voting by mail and that is a good sign. They do not fully believe the optimal favor of the surveys. As in Woody Allen's film Macht Point, the ball can still fall on one side or the other of the net, that is, of history.
