Anyone use this? Or know any girls who do? I've had this on my 'if you just want to buy me a present' list for a long while now. It looks like a way to make working out fun again with different sport things to do on the game plus the fitness part tracks your improvements from what I understand.
Would love to hear from live people who have used this..successes and failures of the device and its games/programs so I can make a final decision here.
And it really is all I'd buy a Wii for that's why I want to hear from you ladies about your experiences. I don't want to get something that sucks and will never get used.

I DO! I uhh...got mine through a creative trade a bit ago. It is my substitute on the weekends, when I don't have fitness classes to go to!
For -me- I find I have to be very disciplined or I just kinda stop playing after 15-20 minutes...but I've started to "routine" and every time I use it, I'm trying to add one of the activities onto my routine to make it a little longer.
I enjoy it!

I also have this and I quite like it but as Athena said, you have to be disciplined and keep to a schedule you set yourself. I go for about a half hour - an hour daily. The great thing about the game is it gives you a lot of variety, different work outs to focus on different areas of the body and calorie burning + strength building.
Some of them are very easy exercises and others get more difficult and complex as you go on. You basically have to unlock the more complex exercises or levels by getting really GOOD at the simple stuff.
One thing I really enjoy about the Fit is it shows you how many calories you are burning. It might be not be entirely accurate but based on how much you do, you can feel the burn and it's nice to have the visual to go along with the feeling of sweating your ass off.
It's also helped me with my posture as the program focuses a lot on balance which it will explain to you why and how it is important to your over all health and the success of your exercises.
I have done a lot of different work out regimes in my time, first in the military and then on my own when I wanted to shed some baby weight after being pregnant, and I have to say this game has been the best fit for me. I mean it's one thing to work your ass off and get fit, another thing entirely to know more about the mechanics of your body and certain exercises and how they work toward improving your health and fitness.
If you stick with it, you can see results but I don't think the WII Fit is for people who are hardcore into the work out lifestyle, although this could be a good way to augment whatever regime you are currently doing. For me it's a little more casual, something I can tailor to me and my schedule and where it feels less grueling even though I am sweating and burning, and more like a game and a fun distraction. (The step game if fun you basically step and dance in front of an audience LOL it is pretty distracting.)
For those of us who are not motivated by just standing around looking at an instructor or having someone barking in your face (army yey) this is good, it makes fitness seem a bit more fun again!
P.S. my sister in law lost about 40 pounds using the WII Fit but over a length of time, like a few months and keeping to it daily. I mean you still have to watch what you take in and eat but she doesn't work out in a gym at all so you can get results, it is just related to how much you use it.
